Hey all! Welcome to my blog! I will be posting here everything that comes to my head. Science related, non-science related, related to my personal life and taste, absolutely everything. Of course these posts are going to appear whenever I get the time to log in and write. I have a very busy life, hence the possible lack of everyday postings. However, I want to kick off this blog with a picture taken during the most adventurous experience I had this year. I went to Serbia for a meeting of a project I am involved in, altogether with another lecturer in the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Trinity College Dublin. So mid-April Deirdre and I were flying to Belgrade to be back sound and safe after two days. What nobody expected was the unpronunciable Icelandic volcano to erupt. We didn't either. But that experience showed us how dependent on technology and aviation we are today. Almost going crazy, Deirdre and I managed to be back in Dublin travelling OVERLAND within 3 days. We got a bus ride from Belgrade to Paris, train from Paris to London and bus from London to Dublin. Also we have experienced other alternative ways of travelling but at the end of the day we made it! Yay!!!!!!
